Trance and Altered States in Traditional Witchcraft
November 8, 2026
Live presentation at Open Doors Bookstore · Braintree, Massachusetts
Additional details forthcoming
The ability to shift awareness and enter altered states has long been an important part of traditional Witchcraft and practical magic. Across generations, practitioners have developed methods for entering light states of trance naturally, without drugs or harmful substances.
Join author Kerry Wisner for an exploration of the techniques behind this often-overlooked aspect of magical practice. Through breathing exercises, chants, spells, symbols, and ritual objects, discover ways traditional practitioners cultivated altered states while remaining conscious, aware, and in control—and how these experiences can deepen and enhance magical work.
